① Select track gauge: “Settings – Track gauge”
② Measurement time 60 minutes: “Settings – Measurement time”
③ Deactivate the option “Settings – Options – TrainController speed profile”
④ Start: “Measurement – Start without delay” (or function key F6)
⑤ Stop: “Measurement – Stop” (or function key F9)

Detailed description
Start by selecting the track gauge of your locomotive by using the menu item “Setting – Track gauge”. Furthermore, the largest possible measurement duration should be selected with the menu item “Settings – Measurement duration”. Then the measurement can be started with the menu item “Measurement – Start without delay” (or the function key F6). The actual measurement begins as soon as the first measurement pulse has been detected (that is, as soon as the locomotive runs smoothly). With the menu item “Measurement – Stop” (or the function key F9) the measurement can be terminated at any time. Please note the information on the current speed in the “Remarks” section!
 

Create speed profile with TrainController

③ Measurement time as desired: “Settings – Measurement time”
④ Activate option “Settings – Options – TrainController speed profile”
⑤ Start: “Measurement – Start” (or function key F5)
⑥ Stop: “Measurement – Stop” (or function key F9)

Detailed description
Start by selecting the track gauge of your locomotive by using the menu item “Setting – Track gauge”. With the menu item “Settings – Delay”, a sufficiently large value should be selected, since TrainController needs some time after the measurement to switch from one speed level to the next. With the menu item “Settings – Measuring time” you can select how long the speed is measured and averaged before it is transferred to TrainController. Also make sure that the menu item “Settings – Options – TrainController speed profile” is activated. Then the measurement can be started with the menu item “Measurement – Start” (or the function key F5). The actual measurement begins as soon as the first measurement pulse has been detected (that is, as soon as the locomotive runs smoothly). With the menu item “Measurement – Stop” (or the function key F9) the measurement can be terminated at any time. Please note the information on the current speed in the “Remarks” section!
